Oil and Gas Engineering
We offer a master degree in Oil and Gas Engineering at the Memorial University of Newfoundland. The oil and gas industry is complex and requires expertise in various areas and technical disciplines. Gender Studies

Employment Relations
At the Memorial University of Newfoundland, the Master of Employment Relations (MER) program is offered jointly by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Faculty of Business Administration.
Chemistry
The Department of Chemistry of Memorial University of Newfoundland is one of the largest Chemistry departments in Atlantic Canada, with 23 faculty, 13 permanent laboratory instructors and instructional assistants, and a number of support and research staff.
Scientific Computing
At the Memorial University of Newfoundland, the MSc program in Scientific Computing was one of the first in North America, and remains the only such program in Atlantic Canada. Both MSc and PhD programs are now being offered in Scientific Computing.
Computer Science
We offer a master degree in Computer Science at the Memorial University of Newfoundland. Civil Engineering
The Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science at Memorial University of Newfoundland offers thesis-based graduate programs leading to master of engineering (MEng) degrees in Civil Engineering, as well as the related multidisciplinary fields of mechanics; many faculty members have broad industrial experience and complement their teaching and research programs with consultancy services.
Anthropology
Many of our former graduate students have gone on to become professional anthropologists. The Anthropology program is offered by Memorial University of Newfoundland.
Biochemistry
Our graduate program in Biochemistry, offered by the Memorial University of Newfoundland, provides an advanced education with the goal of preparing students for a career in research or other STEM disciplines.
Cognitive and Behavioural Ecology
At the Memorial University of Newfoundland, the Cognitive and Behavioural Ecology Program (CABE) is an interdisciplinary graduate program focused on animal behaviour and behavioural ecology.

The English Department is a dynamic and productive community of 23 full-time faculty members engaged in active research programs, graduate supervision, and publication of literary scholarship and creative writing. The English program is offered by Memorial University of Newfoundland.
Maritime Studies
Memorial University of Newfoundland’s Marine Institute offers two (2) degree options in the area of Maritime Studies.The degree of Master of Science in Maritime Studies (Safety: The Human Element) is a full- or part-time research-focused Master’s degree.
Economics
Economics is a versatile field. At Memorial University of Newfoundland, we offer applied economics courses in a wide variety of areas, including fisheries, petroleum and mining, forestry, environmental, international, monetary, public sector, welfare, labor, and health economics.
Medicine
The Faculty of Medicine of Memorial University of Newfoundland, one of 17 Canadian medical schools, was established in 1967.
Human Kinetics and Recreation
The Memorial University of Newfoundland conferred its first degree in Human Kinetics and Recreation in 2005. In its history, numerous master’s students have continued on to doctoral programs.
Business Administration

Psychology
The Department of Psychology at the Memorial University of Newfoundland has approximately 30 faculty members and 60 graduate students. Faculty have active research programs in many areas of psychology, many of which rely on volunteers from the community.
