For the M.F.A. program, a bachelor's degree, with an undergraduate major in dance or equivalent experience in dance, is required.

Equivalent experience in dance may have been gained outside the academic setting through avenues such as dance studios, dance companies, or self-produced dance performance.

Applicants to the M.F.A. program who pass the initial step of the admission process are strongly encouraged to audition live at UCLA

Students whose native language is not English are required to submit scores received on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) as part of their application
