a degree (preferably honours) validated by a higher education institution in the United Kingdom or a degree of an equivalent standard from an institution outside the United Kingdom

the degree should contain at least 80 – 120 credits in Geography. 80 of these credits should cover a range of subjects such as:

Physical Geography

Human Geography

Environmental Geography

degrees in Geology, Geosciences, Earth Science or Environmental Science can qualify if there are enough graduating credits in either Human Geography or full Social Sciences courses

Higher (SCQF Level 6) English Grade C or above

National 5 (SCQF Level 5) Mathematics Grade C or above
