General requirements
- By the application deadline, applicants for admission to the Master of Nursing – Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP) program must be registered nurses who are graduates of a 4-year Canadian (or equivalent) baccalaureate degree program in nursing from an accredited/recognized university.
- Applicants in the MN-NP program require a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 in their final 30 credits of graduate or undergraduate study. MN-NP applicants must have recently obtained a minimum of 5,000 verified hours of full-time equivalent direct clinical practice as a registered nurse prior to application. Applicants without a Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing are not eligible to apply to the MN-NP program.
